for those of you who didnt know me and Dougs black lab great dane mix was diagnosed with bone cancer in july and he has to go every 3 weeks to pullman to get chemo and his bone drug pamidronate. the first trip was me Samson and Grandma and the GPS that talks, heaven forbid you make a wrong turn, or it will yelll at you (please make a legal u turn......over and over and over......took us a long time to figure out how to mute her ....). samson of course does not know he is sick and just thinks he is on an adventure with two of his favorite people, not only that but he gets fresh baked chicken patties from arbys (come on if you were a dog and they had given you three weeks to live what would you want to eat/do?).... well we caught his cancer REALLY early so we have a bit more time then 3 weeks but no one can tell us how long so three days in a strange town, 8 hours a day at the vet and much $$ later we have put samson on a treatment plan to "prolong" his life a dose of chemo, radiation and tons of leg shavings later we head back home.
we are supposed to find someone to give him his 1st dose of pamidronate on this side of the mountains, after three different vets astronomical qoutes (one was $2800), me and my husband pack up the truck and return to pullman, the drama....
grandma Samson and Hershey made it safely back from pullman today, thank goodness. grandma falls asleep on long drives and it is 6 hours to pullman to the oncologist for Samson to get chemo therapy and his other drugs

love the title and story! I'm excited to get all the updates. How far us Pullman from you guys? love ya! m.
What a trooper Samson is! And you guys, too. Okay, that GPS bit was too funny, I think Zac sometimes wishes he could mute me when he's driving!
Ohhhhh....Samson is the best dog ever. ok I have to fess up I gave him mucho gusto doggie treats when I visited in June. sorry...comment on the GPS...yeah...Pat and Rochelle named pat's gps Tempie...short for Temperance...she threw a tantrum every wrong turn we made and said...make an illegal u turn as soon as possible...really! And then when we really needed her she shut up and wouldn't talk to us for a day and half...Pat finally poked her with a sharp thing and she woke up...She didn't like the heat of the midwest...we had to cradle her in a blankie and keep her in the shade with the air blowing on her...otherwise out came the sharp thing to poke her with. Honestly! Technology! Heidi hurry up with evicting the kid already!
